WALKING ON THE MOON

Everyone knows Neil Armstrong (1930-2012) was the first man to walk on the moon in 1969. But did you know that the last time a person walked on the moon was 40 years ago? On 7 December 1972, theree astronauts spent 75 hours on the moon's surface...that's a record.

Unit 2

The highlight of this week’s TV was definitely the soap opera Castle. This programme is about a detective that investigate a lot of cases, and Castle, a famous writer  is helping her. It’s really good I like it a lot.

Telecinco talent show La Voz: This programme is about Spanish people that sing really good. The jury has a lot of work because people sing very well. Sometimes the people sing so well and I get excited.

Finally, the documentary How it’s made. This programme shows you how the factories make any object. It’s very interesting because you can see how it made an object that you have in your hands. I recommend it.

FRANKENSTEIN 

Frankenstein is an important story because was the first science fiction story and talk about create human live. The moral of this story is that when you have a challenge, and are obsessed with getting the challenge you have to be sure that it doesn’t affect the other persons. This moral is so important and it’s good to remember it for live well.

 

MARY SHELLY 

Mary Shelly was an English novelist, short story writer, dramatist essayist, biographer and travel writer, best knownfor herGothic novel Frankenstein. He's husband was a romantic poet andphilosopher. Her father was the political philosopher William Godwin, and her mother wasthe philosopher feminist Mary Wollstonecraft.

Unit 3: Offer and ask for help

Pau.-A picknick was a gread idea, Bernat.

Bernat.-Yes, thanks. I'm looking forward to it.

Pau.-  Have you got everything?

Bernat.- Well, we've got enough food, but there isn't much to drink.

Pau.- Shall I get a few cans of fizzy drinks or something? There's a shop near here.

Bernat.- Would you mind?

Pau.- No that's fine.

Bernat.- Thanks, Pau. Could you get two charis too? And we need a mini fritge.

Pau.- OK, no problem. I'll see what they've got.

Unit 1: My Best Friend

Pau Guilana and I are friends. Pau lives near me here in Banyoles. Welive in the same street. He lives in aninteresting big house. we goto the same school.

Pau is fourteenyears old.He's quite tall and he's got brown hair. He's very handsome and strong. All the girls like him.The good thing about him is that he's funny and friendly, althought he can also be quite mean sometimes, and he isn't always very generous. 

Pau is happiest when he's chatting and playing play station with friends. He likes going outand meeting other people, specially beautiful girls. There's a big park and we often go there. He also likes playing football and somethimes we do that toguether.

A SPANISH GUITARIST

When I was ten years old my dream woas go to the spaces but not now. One year ago I played the spanish guitar and one day, when I was plaing, my dream changed. My new dram was to have an electric guitar. Now that I have one, my new dream is playing the electric guitar with a band because I usually play it and I love it.

Unit 2- talk about TV programmes

Pau- Hi, Bernat. Did you go out last night?

Bernat- No, I stayed in and watched TV

Pau- Oh? What was on?

Bernat- That new sports programe on XPLORA.

Pau- Oh, yes? Was it any good?

Bernat- Yes, it was amazing. There was an amazing professional footballer. Didn't you see it?

Pau- No, I missed it. I was talking with Maria Llucia.

Bernat- You should try to watch it next time. It's really good.

Pau- OK then, I will.

Unit 1- Identify and find out about people

Bernat- Who are you looking at, Pau?

Pau- Oh, hi, Bernat. Who's that girl over there?

Bernat- The girl with the long hair?

Pau- No, the girl with the green jeans. She's talking on the phone.

Bernat- Oh, yes. What about her?

Pau- Does she go to our school?

Bernat- Yes, that's Maria Llucia. She's in Year 14. Why?

Pau- She looks nice. She's got a beautiful face.

Bernat- She's OK, but you aren't her type, Pau. They like weaknesses boys.
 Pau- Oh, that's a pity. Never mind.

MY LAST SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Hi, my name is Bernat and I'm 14 years old and now I'm talking about my last summer holiday.

First of all I went to Can Toni, second I went to England and finally I went to Platja D'Aro.

First, I went to Can Toni summer camp with Jaume. It was very exciting and fun, and next year I want to be “premonitor”.

After that, I went to UK with Jordi and Pol. It was amazing! The first day there, Jordi, Pol and me were very shy! But after the first day, we met a lot of boys and girls! Every day, in the morning, we had English lessons and in the afternoon we played football or American football. That two week passed very fast! The last day, everybody gave their mobile phone number to everybody, and everybody was crying a lot! Specially the girls!

Finally when I come back to Banyoles, I met my friends and I went to Platja d'Aro, with my cousin simon and his friend Eleix Banal. The first day there, we met with two Dutch girls and we played the guitar on the beach. The second day, we went to Water World, but there I got ill and i went to return to Banyoles. I stayed almost 2 weeks in my bed, I had “ Angines agudes”.

when I recovered I met my friends and I prepared to go to school.
